RADIOLOGIC SCIENCES AND IMAGING

Certificate programs in

Advanced Imaging

Advanced imaging is a specialized field in radiologic technology that includes computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), vascular interventional technology (VIT), and cardiovascular interventional technology (CIT).

Students entering Kettering College as graduates of either an associate’s degree or certificate program in radiologic technology may continue their education with several certificate programs. Certificate programs in CT, MRI, vascular interventional technology, or cardiovascular interventional technology are offered as one-semester courses of study. These may be taken individually or as paired programs that may lead to the Bachelor of Science in Health Professions, advanced imaging track .

All advanced imaging programs require practicum experience in the semester in which the clinical aspects courses are taught. Each student will be evaluated on classroom and practicum experiences. Due to the one-semester format, students may be qualified for employment in their chosen modality but not fully qualified for ARRT advanced imaging certification.

APPROVAL AND ACCREDITATION

Kettering College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, approved by the Seventh-day Adventist Board of Regents, and authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents.
