Bachelor of Science in Health Professions - Advanced Imaging
Advanced imaging is a specialized field in radiologic technology that includes computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), vascular interventional technology (VIT), and cardiovascular interventional technology (CIT).
Students entering KCMA with an associate degree or its equivalent in radiologic technology, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, or diagnostic medical sonography may continue their education by pursuing a BS in Health Professions degree. Two tracks are offered:
Advanced imaging track:The registered technologist will begin with one year (two semesters) in the advanced imaging technologies of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or vascular interventional technology (VIT) and cardiovascular interventional technology (CIT). The student must complete all core requirements in the arts and sciences and health professions courses to meet the requirements for the BS degree. Health care professional studies track: A course of study in arts and sciences and health professions that will complete the BS degree requirements but without the advanced imaging courses. See the degree requirements section of the Academic Bulletin
