Photo in ANGEL

We ask that you put a photograph of yourself into ANGEL so that your teachers and classmates can become better acquainted with you.  Knowing what you look like adds to the sense of community that we create in the online environment.

Here is how to do it: 

1. Have a digital photo in a file on your computer.
   • The picture needs to be a smaller file, less than 100KB in size.  You can reduce the file size in any photo editing program. Start by reducing it to 72 dpi. You may have to experiment a bit to get it right. 
   • Please crop your photo as a head-and-shoulders shot. Otherwise your face is too far away in the picture to be able to really see you. 
2. In ANGEL, click on the human silhouette symbol on the left of the screen.
3. The "Preferences" page should appear.
4. Click on "Personal Information."
5. Scroll down to "Photo URL." 
6. Click on the "add" button.  This will allow you to browse through the files on your computer to where you have saved your photo. Add your photo file here. 
7. When it the photo is added, scroll down to the bottom and click on "save."  Your photo will now be visible in any course or group you are enrolled in.
