Kettering, Ohio (Oct. 25) -- Siemens Medical Corporation has given new ultrasound
equipment valued at $125,000 to the Kettering College of Medical Arts sonography program.
This gift will be celebrated at a reception at Ridgeleigh Terrace on Tuesday, Oct. 26,
at 5:30 p.m.
The new system, an Acuson CV70, will be used for cardiovascular sonography education.
The equipment is one of several new pieces expected to be moved into the Boonshoft Center
for Medical Sciences, which is currently under construction on the Kettering campus.
“This is the only system in our lab that is dedicated solely to the use of our students
in the cardiac and vascular concentration,” said Joyce Grube, director of the medical
sonography program at Kettering College. “We are very grateful to Mike Koerding (director
of cardiac services at Kettering Memorial Hospital) and Chip Van Krevelen (Siemens regional
sales manager) for orchestrating this partnership with our program.”
Siemens representatives also will be on hand for the reception Tuesday.
