Are you a high school student interested in post-secondary education options?If you are a high school student and you qualify, according to Kettering College of Medical Arts’ post-secondary education option (PSEO) requirements, you can start on your college career NOW!

As a PSEO student, you have two options:

  • OPTION A: You receive only college credit, but you must pay your tuition and fees.
  • OPTION B: You receive both college and high school credit, and the government pays your tuition and fees.

Here's what you need to do:
  1. Complete an application
  2. Pay the application fee
  3. Complete the student personal statement form, supplied in the application packet. Essays are used to assess writing abilities and are graded for content.
  4. Submit a copy of the signed post-secondary enrollment agreement form showing that you have received the necessary counseling from your guidance officer
  5. Send in your transcripts. Please note GPA requirements (listed below) for each grade level.
  6. ACT and/or SAT scores as outlined in requirements below.

Requirements for PSEO Students

Requirements for participation during 9th grade:

  • Must have completed 8th grade and provide an official transcript to verify this
  • Fulfill all requirements for application to Kettering College
  • ACT composite score of 26+ or a SAT total score of 1760

Requirements for participation during 10th grade:

  • Must have completed 9th grade and at least four college preparatory courses
  • Possess a minimum 3.75 cumulative grade point average
  • Fulfill all requirements for application to Kettering College
  • ACT score of 26+ or SAT total score of 1760

Requirements for participation during 11th grade:

  • Must have completed 10th grade and at least nine college preparatory courses
  • Possess a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average
  • Fulfill all requirements for application to KCMA

Requirements for participation during 12th grade:

  • Must have completed 11th grade and at least 13 college preparatory courses
  • Possess a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average
  • Fulfill all requirements for application to Kettering College
