Introduction to Radiologic Sciences
and Imaging
Lend a hand, save a life
Radiologic and nuclear medicine technologists are dedicated to providing patients with the highest-quality care, and they utilize a variety of sophisticated x-ray and nuclear medicine equipment in imaging body structures and organs that will assist the physician in the diagnosis of many diseases and injuries. Imaging technologists work in many types of medical facilities including, but not limited to, hospitals, clinics, mobile services, and doctor’s offices. The professional technologist must be physically active and mentally alert to participate in this exciting field. They must have a thorough understanding of basic patient care as their secondary role is to provide patient support, comfort and safety while patients are in their care.
Kettering College offers a variety of imaging fields, both at the entry level and more advanced application levels. We offer associate degree programs in radiologic technology and nuclear medicine technology, as well as bachelor’s degree completion and certificate programs in the advanced imaging fields of computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and cardiovascular interventional technologies.
