Physician Assistant Program
Have time to know your patients, not just their diagnosis
LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE
The physician assistant (PA) program at Kettering College of Medical Arts is the school’s first on-campus master’s degree program, newly accredited as such in 2006, however the program has been educating top-flight PAs since it began in 1973. One of five PA programs in the state, Kettering College’s physician assistant program is the only one in southwest Ohio.
UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES
Educated in a Christian atmosphere that emphasizes whole-person care, Kettering College’s PA students are guided by a professional faculty dedicated to constantly improving the preparation of physician assistants. Through Kettering College’s affiliation with the Kettering Medical Center Network, our PA students are provided the unique opportunity to experience the clinical portion of their education at facilities within one of the most nationally recognized hospital networks.
JUMP RIGHT IN
Whether you’re a high school student exploring your health care career options, or you’re a college graduate seeking a career change, Kettering College’s PA program can work for you. Through Kettering College’s bachelor’s program in human biology, non-degree holders can take the necessary prerequisite courses both to earn an undergraduate degree and to advance seamlessly into KCMA’s Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies program. Students already possessing a bachelor’s degree in any basic science or any health care-related field can jump right in to the master’s program, provided they have the appropriate prerequisites.
SEE FOR YOURSELF
The rest of your questions about the PA program should be answered on the various pages in this section of our web site. Read through them, then feel free to call us for a campus visit. We look forward to meeting you!
