NURSING EDUCATION
ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE ADVANCED PLACEMENT
Advanced Placement for LPNs
When you open up to others, you open up to growth and change
The Associate of Science nursing program at Kettering College of Medical Arts prepares its graduates to provide whole-person health care to individuals with common health needs and problems.
The program consists of five semesters that include clinical experience. Advanced placement opportunities are available for LPNs (see the Academic Bulletin for information). Because lifelong learning is important for growth, this program also provides a foundation for a baccalaureate degree. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) in the states of their choice.
THE CAREER
Nursing is an art and science that enables individuals and families to aim toward health promotion, maintenance, and restoration. No other career focuses so completely on physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
APPROVAL AND ACCREDITATION
The Associate of Science nursing program is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
